Victory Building

Philadelphia, PA

First completed in 1875, the original Victory Building was a three-story Second Empire style office building for the New York Life Insurance Company. Later, three additional stories were added to the granite plastered building, and the Victory Building stood tall as the most elegant office building of its time. JKRP Architects took on the task of transforming this sophisticated office space into apartments for Thomas Jefferson University students, being careful to keep its ornate ironwork and marble interiors intact.
