Harbor East Cinemas is an existing 8 screen cinema built in the 90’s that is now under the management of a new owner. The goal for the renovation was to completely change and upgrade the building’s image from a typical theater to a first class luxury venue. The aging theater has been rebranded and undergone a complete renovation including a full recliner auditorium remodel, complete modern lobby, concession, bar and promenade redesign as well as expanded food and beverage service. One unique feature of the theater is the “Presidential Lounge”. This space is a combination cinema and live venue space. In addition to traditional cinema capabilities, the space has full stage and live performance lighting and audio visual infrastructure. It sets itself apart from typical auditoriums with a unique “vintage burlesque” design palette including layers of deep blue and gold tapestry velvet drapes, gold tone inlay tin panels, vintage wall coverings all along with ornate sconces and chandeliers.
