Justyna Zalewski

Designer

Justyna moved from New Jersey to Philadelphia in 2016 to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture at Thomas Jefferson University, graduating in 2021. During her time there, she served as secretary and later chapter president of AIAS, traveled to conferences across North America, minored in photography, and explored furniture design. As part of a student team, she earned second place in the 2021 Solar Decathlon’s Retail Division for a net-zero, adaptive reuse project.

Since graduating, Justyna has worked on a range of project types, including multi-family, commercial, residential, higher education, adaptive reuse, and affordable housing. At JKRP, she contributes to projects in the Entertainment vertical, particularly theater design.

She is currently the Event Coordinator Co-Chair for the Philadelphia Emerging Architects (PEA) committee of AIA Philadelphia. Outside of work, Justyna enjoys creative pursuits like painting and pottery, staying active through pilates and rock climbing, and exploring new places—whether hiking in national parks, vintage shopping, or trying new restaurants.
