Looking Back on Paul Georges’ 40+ Years at JKRP
JKRP Architects is honored to celebrate the retirement of Principal Paul Georges, AIA, after more than 40 years with the firm. While Paul’s professional accomplishments have helped define JKRP’s success over the years, it is his leadership, mentorship, and the relationships he built that have had the greatest impact on our firm.
Throughout his career, Paul played a significant role in establishing JKRP’s national reputation in entertainment architecture while contributing to a diverse portfolio of residential and retail projects. His work spanned decades of change within the movie theater industry, from early projects such as United Artists Theatre at East Whiteland to a longstanding body of work with Regal Entertainment Group, including theaters at Deer Park and Moorestown Mall. Later projects with Flix Brewhouse reflected the continued evolution of the theater experience and JKRP’s expanding work with emerging operators. His expertise in movie theater design helped position the firm as a trusted partner for theater operators and developers across the country, while his thoughtful approach to design and commitment to client service helped shape lasting partnerships and projects that continue to define our work.
For those who have had the opportunity to work alongside Paul, it is his character that stands out most. Paul’s commitment to the profession extended well beyond JKRP. He has mentored architecture students, volunteered alongside colleagues through community organizations, shared his expertise through industry publications and conferences, and remained actively involved in professional organizations throughout his career. Whether supporting future architects or contributing to the broader design community, he consistently sought opportunities to give back and strengthen the profession.
As Paul begins this next chapter, we extend our heartfelt thanks for everything he has given to JKRP Architects over the past four decades. His friendship, dedication, and generosity have left an indelible mark on our firm, and his legacy will continue through the many people he has inspired and the example he has set.
