About the Project

JKRP’s new office at 1601 Market Street marks a new chapter for the firm and an opportunity to create a workplace that reflects how its team works today. Following a decade in Philadelphia’s historic Wanamaker Building, the move brought JKRP to the heart of the Market Street business district and provided the firm with the opportunity to design a new home for its growing team.

The office was planned to support multiple ways of working within a shared environment, balancing open, collaborative areas with spaces for focused work, informal interaction, and meetings. Layout and circulation encourage connection between teams, while visibility and proximity create opportunities for conversation and collaboration throughout the day. Shared spaces are positioned as places for both planned and informal interaction, with spatial separation providing quieter areas when greater focus is needed. Natural light and plants incorporated throughout the office contribute to a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Together, these elements create a workplace that reflects JKRP’s identity and supports the mentorship, communication, and exchange of ideas that are central to the firm’s day-to-day work.
