About the Project

JKRP Architects led the renovation and repositioning of the former Port Richmond Village shopping center, now rebranded as Fishtown Crossing. The project introduced a contemporary identity through updated façades, two new retail buildings along Aramingo Avenue, enhanced landscaping with a central gathering space, and EV charging stations.

The redevelopment includes approximately 130,000 SF of renovated retail space and 12,000 SF of new construction. A key design challenge was creating new freestanding retail buildings, including a Starbucks drive-thru, that establish a distinct presence while remaining visually connected to the existing shopping center. A coordinated palette of materials, colors, and architectural elements unifies the new construction with the renovated retail façades, creating a cohesive identity across the site.

Fishtown Crossing is home to a diverse mix of retail, dining, and service tenants, including IGA, Starbucks, Nifty Fifty’s, T-Mobile, honeygrow, Pep Boys, GameStop, Dollar Tree, and Wingstop.
