About the Project

Following the closure of Sears at Great Northeast Plaza, nearly 300,000 SF of vacant retail space was redeveloped into The Court at Cottman, a reimagined multi-tenant shopping destination. The former department store was extensively reconfigured to accommodate a diverse mix of retailers, transforming a single large-format vacancy into a vibrant retail environment designed to serve the surrounding community. A comprehensive façade renovation introduced a contemporary architectural identity, with expanded glazing improving visibility and creating stronger connections between the interior spaces and the site. The redevelopment also included the creation of new outparcel opportunities, bringing additional retailers and restaurants to the property and further strengthening its position as a regional shopping destination.
