Nugent Senior Housing combines the adaptive reuse of three historic Mount Airy buildings—the Nugent Estate, Presser Hall, and the Tudor-style Carriage House—with a new six-story residential addition. The Nugent Estate, Presser Hall, and the new building provide affordable independent living apartments for seniors, while the Carriage House was repurposed as the community’s sales office. Together, the historic and contemporary buildings create a cohesive senior living community that respects the character of the original estate while expanding its residential capacity.
