About the Project
Designed by William G. Hale in the early twentieth century, the Hale Building sat vacant for years with only the ground floor in use, most recently occupied by a Valu-Plus discount store. The building has been restored to its original purpose as creative office space, with a coffee shop at the rear and an upscale restaurant facing Chestnut Street. The upper six floors feature open floor plans and expansive views through historically preserved double-hung windows, returning this historic landmark to active use while celebrating its architectural character.
