JKRP Architects provided conceptual design services for U-Haul Quakertown, a three-story, 100,000 SF ground-up self-storage facility. The climate-controlled facility offers a variety of storage unit sizes and includes a 2,500 SF sales showroom and office on the first floor. A key design challenge was creating a building that responds appropriately to the surrounding rural context. The façade incorporates Bucks County ledgestone, wood-look siding, and standing seam metal siding to reflect the area’s vernacular architecture.
