Chelten Plaza

Philadelphia, PA

The Chelten Plaza consists of 33,000 square feet of renovated space and the addition of a new 18,000 square foot supermarket, as well as new parking, landscaping, and rain gardens for stormwater management. This project required the complete transformation of an aged supermarket, abandoned gas station, and vacant property, borrowing elements from the original building’s post-war design vocabulary and adding contemporary materials and finishes. Anchored by a Save-A-Lot supermarket, the result is a cohesive shopping center which serves as a neighborhood destination.
